This example was inspired by this tutorial and after some structure changes you can see it or download it

* support for importing SWFs with DefineFont2/3, DefineButton2,
DefineSound and StartSound tags;
* support for SetScriptLimits and SetTabIndex;
* support for 8bit palette or grayscale PNGs;

some hints for new features:
* the 8bit PNG import works just like for other PNGs, color depth is automatically detected.
* to get JPEGs with alpha channel, you have to provide the (alpha-less) jpeg image and its (8bit grayscale PNG) mask separately, like so:

* SetScriptLimits and SetTabIndex remain untested.

And how use NetConnection Debugger.swf with ECLIPSE

When use a NetConnection Debugger.swf you must do this changes

modify in 2 places on Macromedia Remoting Classes

1. In row 93 on mx.remoting.debug.GlobalLocalConnection

change

var suc:Boolean = true;

to

var suc = true;

2. and in mx.remoting.debug.commands.GetConfig

create contsructor and put super() there

and remove from GetConfigCommand() method super().

1. Eclipse is a kind of universal tool platform - an open extensible IDE for anything and nothing in particular. Eclipse use a java and you must have it installed in your Linux(BSD) , in my case I use a fedora 3 release , You can also see some instructions in How to Install JAVA on Fedora.

2. ASDT - A plugin for the popular Eclipse platform to work with ActionScript 2 files. It should provide such features like code coloring, code folding, code completion, outlining, refactoring .

3. MTASC is the first ActionScript 2 Open Source free compiler.

4. SWFMILL is a tool to process Shockwave Flash(TM) (SWF) files. It can convert SWF from and to an XML-dialect called “swfml”, which is closely modeled after the SWF file format.

5. Flashout is eclipse plugin for viewing and logging SWF in eclipse. Flashout is great addition if you use eclipse Actionscript 2 plugin and MTASC compiler.

Unfortunately it does not work on Linux and is not available in Open Source FlashOut in the moment.
